Attempt at Gardening
I have never done anything when it comes to gardening and neither has my husband really, so why he wants to try to create one this year is beyond me. Anyway, This past Saturday we started to till section we marked off. We decided to start off small and go with a 20' x 20' plot. The tiller shook, dragged, and pulled me in all directions - it was rather amusing to those watching me though. I had Doug record a short clip to send to my parents(after I got a bit more control of course). Another issue we encountered was even we a lot a lot people around to help (actually just bribed our niece and nephew with a cookout and a trip to the movies) we did not have enough gardening tools to keep everyone busy. So Doug volunteered himself to go to Lowes (take a break) with Austin while Mckinsey and myself stayed and kept working on our rows. By time the boys got back the girls had almost finished all of the rows. This post may sound kind of whiny but overall it was a lot of fun playing in the dirt and spending time with the family. It just turned out to be a lot more work than my husband originally anticipated. Now everything is finished except for the planting we are working on the grass situation and waiting for the weather to cooperate for the step.
