Over the last year (once a few months ago, and twice within the last month) I've spent over $600 at the dealership and an outside mechanic to fix a very specific and dangerous problem in my car. (When I slow down, the engine just shuts off.)

After all that I find out that the mechanic has thought all along that it might be a transmission problem, which will cost me another $1500.00.

Ever have one of those days where you feel like you've done a lot and nothing at the same time?

I feel like that today.

I even put the extra exclamation point on for emphasis. (Multiple exclamation points are a true crime in my book, except in very extreme cases.)

On Saturday - pending they don't make me work at the last minute - I will go and pick up my new green tree python!

I'm SUPER excited. I've been researching them literally for years, waiting for a situation where I could go and get one.

And it's finally the right time and place.

I got an email just now from the warehouse where I work. We sell car parts through catalogs, and I maintain one of the catalogs. We stock these parts, so when we add new ones to the catalog, I go to the warehouse and check them out for photos.

I got an email that essentially said a VERY expensive part was missing some pieces and they would have to scrap it if I couldn't find them.

I'm panicking, thinking how am I EVER going to be able to pay for this part if I did...
