Here's an example of how awful ours is at least.
They demand a $600 deposit that is to be given back after six months of payments that are on time. Not too bad of a deal. Except...
After paying on time for about four months, suddenly no bills were appearing. Calls to the company resulted in lie after lie. "Your bills are online only!" or "Don't worry, you have $XXX credit for extra payment. You don't have to pay this month."
As a result, inevitably payments were missed or late. After some VERY angry phone calls, finally everything was straightened out.
Now 10, going on 11 months of on time payments of sometimes more than the bill = no deposit.
What could possibly be holding it up this time? Oh you'll love this one.
"It takes 7-10 days to process your payment!"
You heard right.
The payment reaches them well before their deadline, but they can hold the payment for 10 days until it's late, and then send it through - also giving no indication whatsoever on their bill that they did it.
Lousy jerks.
So now payments are being sent to them in the middle of one month for the next month.
If they don't refund the deposit this time, I'm going to look into legal action. This is making me super angry.
