Everytime I get my ball python Ginger out, it amazes me. Immediately, if my 4 year old is in the vicinity she slithers towards her. Which is who is currently holding her. The other funny part, the only one she is not head shy with is my 4 year old. Madelyn can literally put her hand around her head (she doesnt squeeze). If I try to do it, she wont let me she will back up. Madelyn also does this with Zeus. Zeus will slither towards her at every chance when she is out. She is the one who puts the rats in thier feed tubs, she is the one who changes thier water daily, turns lights on and off. She keeps asking me if the temperatures are ok and to check them again ( I check multiple times a day because of this). I am currently in the process of making note cards to put on the front of thier tanks that tells what the temperatures, and humidity should be at for her to check herself. She has only been bitten once by Apollo our pastel ball python. The funny thing about that is she didnt freak out. All she said was "it only hurts until the pain goes away." I honestly am so lucky for my beloved children, who without I am sure I would forget to do something.
