New Cp's for the house

Well my wife started her new job at our local Garaden Center yesterday. They really have a great selection there. The best part about her job 20% rebate! Whoo hoo! U. calycifida, D. capensis, D. madagascariensis, and S. flava.

Are they hard to care for? The one on the bottom right looks interesting (the S. Flava? I know nothing about plants).

S. flava and really any of the North amrican pitcher plants are really eazy to care for given a few things. They like full sun, wet soil, and need to have barren soil and rain or pure water. Other than that you can plant, water, and forget about them. They live though hard wether down to -7C (20F) though some speices can take down to -30C. Though any CP needs all these things. The main diffrence is the growing temps. The only ones I'd really say are hard are monkey pitcher plants (without a greenhouse at least).

You have neat plants, I personally am a plant killer, they hate me and die within weeks of my acquiring them.

are those the bug eaters I see at my garden center?
I think those are really cool. I have thought about getting some, but the thought of having something else to buy bugs for and feed just didnt deem that appealing, lol

They are but you really don't need to buy bugs to feed them the'll do great just catching whats around inside/outside depending on the type you get. Good rule is if it's from North America leave it outside. But they really do fine with what ever they catch. If you really want to feed them I wouldn't give more than a bug a month. You have to think of the bugs more as fertliser you don't want to give too much.
