If anyone knows me, they know I'm the most stingy spender when it comes to clothes. I hate spending money on them.

Well, this past Saturday, Todd had to go to the auto parts store, which happens to be right next to Goodwill. I always search goodwill for things I could turn into vivariums, sometimes you find fish tanks, or any other little pot of gold. Todd was taking longer than normal, so I made my way from the "Stuff" section, where I found nothing, to the clothes....

I splurged. I got a bonus from work and I splurged. They rock. They have high ankle support so I don't have to wear my brace any more! They fit like a glove. Gortex and light weight. I have NEVER treated myself to something like this before.

I do. I was dreading coming into work.
I'm now here and my productivity level is so low even though I have a ton to do.
I'm hungry.
I'm thirsty.
I'm tired even though I slept.

I had a nice relaxing weekend, that didn't solve anything.

I need to go away.
for a week.
to relax.
To leave my cellphone, email and internet at home.

Religious right rant

So, I'm listening to NPR on the drive in this morning, and they are interviewing Evangelical Christians in South Carolina. Now I get that its the bible belt and all, but come on! What about the rest of us.

They are interviewing this woman. And all she can talk about is how she wants to elect someone who has christian values and faith, and will lead this country to follow Jesus Christ our savior because he is the only one who has a direct connection...
