I'm not confirming or denying a belief in a higher power, but I don't think it is a coincidence that my P.O.S. Huffy literally imploded on my ride to work. Now I am faced with a decision, buy a bike soon or keep wasting gas and getting fatter.

So it's been raining here for about a year and a half. It's been lovely. Anyway it stopped raining last month, and now everything is brown and dead. And it is soooo warm! I'm so glad we live alone so i can walk around in my skivvies!

In other news, i finish Swedish for Imagrants in exactly one week. and then it's off to the Swedish job market. Meep!

I feel guilty, it's a little grey outside so I am using that as my excuse not to ride my bike to work. Gas is $4.10/gallon and I really SHOULDN'T be driving. Curse my reliance upon foreign oil.

I think part of the problem here is that I have been bike shopping and I'm not looking forward to riding my old tank now that I'm looking at bikes at a quarter of the weight with all kinds of bells and whistles.

I'm the kind of person who has a great moment in the morning, then the rest of the day spirals out of control into oblivion.

Yesterday I head off to the farmers market in search of some flowers. Whammo! The most beautiful hanging baskets, which at a fancy garden store would be at least $25 were only $15. I take two and some other annuals to brighten up the yard. I have a delicious cup of coffee and pick up fresh local strawberries and a pan of cinnamon rolls. Delish!
