Borednes and a green idea
Well, mom and a few of the other family members have been talking about solar, the gas prices and all that. Recently there was a man in Indy that has a honda that runs on CNG(compressed natural gas) He can fill his tank for 7 bucks and go 250 miles on that tank. Just there arent many stations that have CGN( 3 in indy, 3 in chicago and some here and there) Not enough to make a total switch for a lot of people. Well he also stated that his lawnmower runs on CNG too. That got me thinking since my uncle does lawn care.
I googled, yahooed, and youtubed, alot of things about using propane and CNG.
Yesterday I took our old mowers gas tank off and carb off to do some modding to it. Well I wasnt totally sure on the carb part so I got some pointers from a few people. Finally got everything done today after I got home from work. After some extra tubing was purchased and some fittings. I was good to go everything was green lighted.
Well everything was till I couldnt get the darn thing to start. After about 25 pulls and some extra help I got it to fire up and run fine on the LP tank I had. It ran for about 10 mins I mowed some. It was fine till the small tank iced up and caused the gas to leave less. So Im going to fit a bigger tank on it.
Told a few people about it and they couldnt belive it so I just had to tell you guys too.
