So over the last year, my life has gone uphill in the best ways imaginable. I got to go back in time and reclaim all the best things I thought I would never see again, or get back. Things I wish I had held onto, after I let them go.

It started when I moved back to my hometown, which I missed horribly during my stay in Florida. I bought a house (Something I never thought I would be able to afford.) and the house payments are less than the rent I was paying in FL. I can wake up for frogsong, and deer in my backyard, but am still within bike-riding distance of both my jobs, the grocery store, hardware, feed store, pharmacy, dentist, farmer's market, bank, library, etc. Pretty much everything is close except a herp vet and a wal-mart. I don't have to drive much anymore (which is awesome, since i hate driving.) I get lots of exercise.

I got Engaged to someone who has been my best friend for years, and I had not been able to see for much of that time.

I even got my old job at the local Dairy Queen back, with a substantial raise - When I left I was making $9.50/hr (which to date had been the best paying job I ever had - beating both my school job, and my zookeeper job.). I was scrambling for a summer job, because my school job is obviously seasonal. When I went to inquire, I found out the building had changed ownership a few times, and was in the process of being reclaimed by my former boss. At any rate, he was thrilled to have me back, and hired me straight into management for $12/hr as my training wages, with a raise to be expected after I am readjusted. Full time position. Picked me up where I left off, and offered me better wages - which was more than I had hoped for. It was a great job, and I got regular raises, and I only left it because I was hopeful the zoo would pan out.

Life is good!
