I was scouring Facebook and came across an article that I found disheartening and angering. Apparently a couple of guys decided to take advantage of those devastated by the tornado that ripped through Moore, OK and went looting. In this case they were caught but now you have to wonder how many others are doing the same. Scum like that are only alive because it is illegal to kill them. I hope someone beats them!
I was scrolling through FB today and encountered a post (again) where the poster was using racist and derogatory language to describe a group of people. I have such a hard time grasping why people are racist. In this day and age you have to be a pretty pathetic and shallow individual to hate another race based solely on the color of their skin. I am a city boy and grew up around every race out there. I learned a long time ago, no thanks to my parents, that it is a persons character that matters ...
I am starting this blog as a tool for me to track Yoshi's progress. His birthday is January 1, 2013. We purchased him from Petco on February 3rd. From that point until April 29 he did not have UVB lighting in his enclosure (misinformation from the pet store). He never seemed to do anything and didnot have much of an appetite. That is when I started my research and found this awesome forum. Needless to say, after spending 12 straight hours reading here and asking questions, I went out the next ...
Many know that I am originally from Boston and just live a short hour away from Boston now. The attacks obviously hit home for me since many years we have watched the marathon and I lived there. The anger I feel toward the perps is pretty intense as they took the life of a child. I don't like hearing adults have died but it really bothers me when kids my childrens age are taken out by such a cowardly act. I really hope someone stakes claim to the carnage so that there is at least someone to apprehend ...
About 5 years ago I quit smoking. It took me over 50 attempts before I finally succeeded and it was one of the most difficult things I ever did. Like most people I put on 10 lbs after I quit. That wasn't bad though as I was working in construction. Layoffs came and the economy held me back for nearly 6 months before I went back to work. I added another 10 lbs with the downtime. I got in a couple months of work before layoffs came again. This time I was off for a year and had added another 15 lbs! ...
