    Silkback/Silkie Bearded Dragons

Does anyone here have any of these? I saw a few at the show in San Diego this past weekend and became interested. The information I got from the show is if you breed a leatherback to a leatherback you will get silkbacks. Is this true? I would love to breed some of my own in the future.

I've seen them, I often wonder if this mutation would be more sensitive to the high UVB and Heat required for bearded dragons!

I don't know enough about them to want one, but I will be keeping an eye on this thread to see what other members opinion on the Italian leatherback, Smoothies and Silkies!

Yes that is true if you breed to leatherbacks to get silkbacks. you get approximately 50% leatherback, 25% silkback, and 25% normal. They need a different heat temperature slightly different from other types. Ive know people who have kept silkbacks with other dragons and they did not have a problem.
