Ryuu Has Diarrhea!

This morning I was up at my usual time, and notice Ryuu was already up and on his ramp. When I went over to check on him, I noticed some diarrhea on the lower part of the ramp. Well, I cleaned it up and put the ramp back in there, and 30 minutes ago he had more diarrhea, this time it was extremely stinky. Up until this morning, he has been pooing twice to three times a day, all of them well formed, mostly solid, with urates. This has me worried because his vet visit last week was fine. His temps are 110 in the basking spot, ambient of 87, over night temp goes to 72 (same as room temp).

The only thing different from the past week has been two additions to his diet. My mom fed him a couple wax worms Sunday while I was gone, and yesterday he jumped into my bowl of honey dew, take a taste. (That was my fault because I under estimated his jumping ability.)
I don't think the wax worm would of cause diarrhea 3 days after the fact, but could the honey dew of caused it?

I just want some input since I am really worried about him.

Take a sample to the vet to get checked for parasites. Better safe than sorry, but I don't know about the melon, how that would affect him/her.

I already called the vet to see if he would do it again, and the response was "He was tested last week and was fine. I don't see why he would need another fecal done." So, I am calling other vets in the area to see if they will be able to do anything today or tomorrow. Closest one able us today or tomorrow is two hours away.

Also, before I hear anything about it, I know not to give him fruit on a regular basis. He gets a very small amount once a week. Usually just one or two bites worth.

I am going to have to go with your vet on this. If there was nothing a week ago it is doubtful that a parasite bloom could have occured in that time span.
I suspect it was the melon. Not only was it something that he had not eaten before but melons carry an extremely high water content. That would result in loose stools.
Just keep an eye on him for a day or two and see if it returns to normal.

Oh sorry I had no idea he just had a fecal a week ago! Oops.

+1 on the melon. If everything else is fine, he should get over it pretty quick. Melons are in the same family as pumpkin (as well as squashes) and most of us know pumpkin is a good laxative for herps. What you're seeing may not be diarrhea, but a laxative effect, which one might expect if you give a laxative to a lizard that has been pooing normally.

He still has the runs. Fearing that he may become dehydrated, I soaked him for a little bit (he drank water freely while in his tub) and then went to get him some more fresh greens from the market. Plus side is that he is eating all his greens and is being active and alert as always. Let's hope it clears up in the next couple of hours.
