Most writters that I've read say that most snakes shed anywhere from every 4-8 weeks this could be more or less depending on the rate of growth of your snake.

There is really no timetable to shedding. It has to do with the rate of growth or if applicable the need to heal injuries to the skin. Younger rapidly growing snakes will shed every 2-4 weeks. As they get older and the growth rate slows down the time between sheds increases.

Heres an example of mine, My Corns (who are a few months older then my Boa) would shed just about every 2 weeks, where as my boa will shed once a month, if that. It all depends on the individual snake.

Ok how about this one. Once it starts shedding, how many days does it usually take to FINNISH shedding? I read it was 7 - 10 days is this correct?
What are the disadvantages of feeding during a shed?
My ball looks duller in color now and is hiding a lot, but its eyes do not seem blurry nor blue at all. Is this shed? I also haven't noticed any pink of the stomach.
If I were to provide something rough for it to rub on, can I use a brillo pad? Should I wet it? Right now the only rough thing in the enclosure is a climbing branch, which I put in because my ball just acts like it thinks its an arboreal species. And the substrate a little rough but it gives way when over it so the substrate may not rub as much.

It will be shed soon, and once the blue eyes are cleared up it will take a few days for the shed, but once he starts shedding he SHOULD be finished within 12 hours

Is a brillo pad ok for a rough object? A towel just doesn't seem rough to me at all.
I just took a look and yes, PARTS of the belly are pink.

Ok I'll use a towel. Just curious, what's wrong with a brillo pad?
