Update: Another day another shed

Well I just thought I'd update everyone on the progress I'm having with Tsume. He just shed the other day and I took a pic of it as soon as I checked on him so there's no meds on it this time and you can see more of the wound and less ointment.

He looks a lot better, the size of the wound has shrunk a lot and now the bone is no longer exposed. It had a little blood red skin on it when I took the pick and when I cleaned the site with the meds it still didn't go away so I'm assuming that it wasn't blood.

He still hasn't ate since he went into shed mode and I'm trying to get him to break his fast. I'm sure that He'll eat soon, but it still drives me nuts just a little. Other than that it looks like he's putting on a little more weight (which is good) and he overall seems to be doing pretty good.

Well here's the parting shot, the wound.

He does look better. As for the eating... Such are the joys of being servant to a BP.

The wound is looking good. With each shed it will get better. The shedding process itself may irritate the site a bit (because of rubbing to get the skin off) so don't worry if it's red.
As for feeding: that most likely has nothing to do with the wound. Tsume is a Ball Python, welcome to the frustration.

Thanks for the kind words. I still can't believe how amazing these little guys are, they're so tough.
