humidifiers vs. foggers

I'll was just wanting some opinions of what would be the best way to keep up humidity levels. Ive been looking at some humidifiers/air fresheners, misters, some foggers, acouple different waterfalls with and without foggers and I also saw a pretty cool volcano/fogger. Im starting work soon and I wont be around to manually spray the aquarium down and was just wondering what you guys /gals use.

I love the volcano foggers - they aren't that widely available over here and the pet shops that do have them charge about £100 each (think that's about $150?) Again, a lot of the auto spray units are not available here either so I have to make do with waterfalls and foggers.

The problem with a lot of the foggers and humidifiers unless run on intermittant timers is they will transform your enclosure into a soggy swamp! The volcano has openings that your snake could get into and get stuck. If you spray the enclosure in the morning and again at night and give the snake a humid hide it should be fine. And cypress mulch will help hold moisture better than aspen.

You listed a humid hide, would that be the same as a covered water hide or were u talking about something different? now ive seen some programable misters that run a little more but I do have a timer that I use for the fountain on my fish pond that isnt being used now so thats not a problem. but thank for the heads up on the volcano, that would have been one of my top choices.

A humid hide is basicly a plastic lidded box with damp longfiber sphagnum moss inside. You make a hole in the lid big enough for the snake to go through and it has a damp place to go when it needs it. Like when in shed or it just wants a bit of moisture.

I keep a damp towel on top over the area that isnt being used by the heat light to help retain most of the moisture.
