You do cool them. But not like other snakes. There is only a slight temp change. You would go from a basking spot of 95 and ambient of 86 to a basking spot of 85 and an ambient of about 78. The biggest thing that you need to do is cut down the time the lights are on. The winter time has less Daylight time than does the summer.
