    Re: Ball Pythons Are Dangerous?

That is extremely... what is the word I am looking for.... CRAZY! Ball Pythons are one of the least dangerous snakes out there, and a 1,000 for a normal that looks pet shop quality is even more outrageous! Only way they are dangerous is if they are never handled (resulting in a few nips here and there) or people allow the snake to coil around their neck for some stupid reason. Some people truly amaze me...

    Re: Ball Pythons Are Dangerous?

    Here's what I emailed him :
Ball pythons are not dangerous animals... Males get 3 feet long, if that... They are probley the most docile snake out there. I trust my 10 year old autistic son to handle my ball python. Do you think it's wise to tell people that they are dangerous when there is already so much negitivity in the non-snake comunity? Also $1,000 for a male normal Ball Python? I can get a normal male from a breeder for $50...

I had to rewrite it a few times to make it as nice as I could lol

Um... no... just... no... I want to say--no, no, I'll bite my tongue.

My 5-year-old niece's first reptile-handling experience was a ball python... Yes, I can trust a 5-year-old with it... and it with a 5-year-old...

If ever there were a beginner's animal... I just... eheu, I forfeit trying to articulate the "NOOOOOOOOO" my brain is screaming.

    Re: Ball Pythons Are Dangerous?

In reality, I am more comfortable handling my ball over my dragon any day. My bearded dragon will lash out and tail whip like crazy if anything suddenly startles him (resulting in bruises and claw marks), the snake simply tries to hide down my shirt or balls up around my hand. lol

And yes, my name is GA (as in Georgia) Peach Katie. lol

Yeah, yeah, I got it, haha. Apparently all I need is some help from Mr. Daniels. XD

All of my critters LOVE hiding in my hair. My ball used to be a living ponytail holder. He'd wrap himself around my hair then down my shoulder into my shirt, because, you know, cleavage is basically just a snake pocket, right?

Exactly! My boyfriend is convinced that I place the snake into my cleavage on a daily basis, but in reality she automatically heads there as soon as I get her out. Cleavage = snake's dream come true. (warm and, depending on the bra, secure.)

Ok, Jack and I are clearly in great company, because I have laughed almost nonstop since this thread opened. Bonus points, Susan. I had a crappy day, and now I'm giggling like a small child.
