Today I decided which breeder I'm gonna take the babies from.He's only about an hour from me,and he's got the BPs I would like to have: the gold/black or yellow/black variety. I love that strong contrast of those colours.
I already ordered two, and if I'm lucky,I might even see them hatch.Now,that would be an experience I wouldn't want to miss.If they hatch at 2 in the morning,then it's impossible,of course,but with a bit of luck,they might hatch during the day.He will call me when the big day comes,and the right time!
But before that,I'm going to see the mums to be.One of them is called 'Goldie'.
I have a choice of taking two brothers or two halfbrothers (same father,two mothers).
I might go and visit them quite a lot,to see how they grow and behave,and then decide which ones I take home.And that way it doesn't seem such a long wait (I hope). What I always find fascinating about BPs is that each one has another personallity.OK,other snakes do too,but I think BPs are very special in their diffrences!That's another reason why I'm taking two and I can't wait to see how different their personalitys will be.It's like a studying project for me and I also will love them to bits.
