Fogger for BP?

I have to go away for a couple of weeks and I usually mist my Ball Python cage 2X per day to keep up humidity. Trouble is, I have no one to come and mist her for me while im gone (Parents are afraid of her. lol) So, I did some research and am leaning towards a Zoo med fogger. Am wondering If I can set the fogger up with a timer to set it off 3 times or so per day. Anyone ever used fogger for humidity with snakes? Ive been pokin' around on the web and read good reviews on it and saw a few people whom had them set up nicely with their Ball Python enclosures.

I think if someone can at least check the fogger`s still functioning, and you`ve seen it working in other peoples setups, it should be fine, I use a room humidifier, and I`ve had no problems with that, if I need to be away a few days. You can run it to make sure the humidity is o.k before you leave, (on a timer).

I was actually curious myself to know if anyone does use the Zoo Med Fogger for Ball Pythons because I was looking into it too. Hopefully all goes well while ur away and when you get back you can leave an update on the fogger if you so happen to get and use one

The problem with foggers is that they need to be refilled regularly. If they aren't refilled, then they will run out of water and break. In this case, the snake can get electrocuted if he were to come into contact with it. Your best bet would be to use a human humidifier in the room. Perhaps your parents can go in and change the humidifier water without looking at the snake?

The zoo med fogger would make it impossible for snake to get electrocuted unless you maybe had the whole system in the enclosure, but its only a plastic tube that stays inserted into cage. I cant have a humidifier in the room because my house has issues with moisture.

Well it's good to know the remodeled the design. However, it will still run our of water and short out. It will need to be refilled at least every day, depending on the size of the reservoir.

Yes, but if you're going to be gone for a couple of weeks, and your parents won't go into the room because of the snake, then it's not going to work.

Why wouldn't it work if the reservoir was large enough and the spray was the very minimal? I dont see why it wouldnt. I can fully understand that yes..it would eventually run dry (as does a cold beer) nothing lasts forever. But beer would last longer if you had a 24 compared to a 6 pk (unless you have mooching friends)

I can't think of a reservoir that would last 2 weeks without going bad!
