I would like to breed Monty and Meesha at some point. Do you have to wait until a certain age or does it depend on weight? Help?

Hi

Personally I would wait until about 3 years of age, though they can be bred earlier, and I would not attempt to breed a female that is under 1000g this is not so important for the males but they must also have good body weight 850g+ (these are minimum weights).

Hope this helps

Rachel

Yes there is still a chance that breeding can occur even if the female isn't of optimum weight, if the snakes are kept together. To ensure that they don't breed before they are ready you need to house them seperately.
