Just Want to Make Sure
So I went to take out CT today, and he looked greyish to me, and his eyes are a very milky color. If I remember from my boas that means that he's about to shed right?
I should just ask Alex, but I don't want him to convince me to give him the snake back, I love my new baby and handle him all the time!!! He's such a good snake!!!!

Re: Just Want to Make Sure
You are correct. Make sure to provide a humidity level of around 40-60 percent. I keep mine at around 60 percent.

Re: Just Want to Make Sure
Don't handle him at this time either, they tend to be rather irritable. He will clear up and look like new just before he actually sheds.
So don't feed or handle him again until you actually see the shed skin in the enclosure.
(btw He'll probably be hungry after the shed)

Re: Just Want to Make Sure
And there is no "scheduled" timetable to shed. They shed depending on how much the snake is growing.
CT is safe from Alex! LOL!

Re: Just Want to Make Sure
So last night CT shed, and went to the bathroom, he was so active. Being the proud momma, I watched him work most of the skin off last night and now there's just one big piece left. I really want to play with him but I don't want to pull his skin off of him. His color is really beautiful and hopefully tomorrow he'll be fully shedded so I can get some pictures of him, I wish I had taken pictures of him moving around last night, but I didn't want poo in the pictures, he's so gorgeous!!!!

Re: Just Want to Make Sure
Put some lukewarm water in the bath tub and let him soak for 10-15 minutes and the skin should rub right off in your hand.
Don't pull it if you feel resistance.
