Hi everybody!

Can I just ask something please? I know somebody who can give me a used vivarium for a cheap price. I just wanted to tell you the measurements to be sure I am doing the right thing for forthcoming ball python.

36inches long by 12 inches wide and 15 inches tall.

I have had a picture emailed me and it looks quite nice. It is glass all over, with a top opening.

Not sure if there is other stuff to go with it, but of course I can buy extras locally.

Please let me know what you think both size wise for a ball python, and security of the lid opening.

That is at the minimum range for a ball. the length is fine but the width could be a bit bigger. If it is a typical aquarium type enclosure you can purchase a screen top and the locking clips that attach to the frame. I use them on 2 of my boa enclosures and they work fine.

I believe that tank would work but you would probably want to upgrade to a bigger tank eventually. Like kenman said make sure to get the screen top and locking clips ball pythons love finding a way out.. When you get your snake you should post a picture so we can all see it
