It's easily been 12-13 yrs since I've been back. Hubby hasn't been back since we moved here.

Hopefully the fan will work enough for you. It should at least dry the immediate area out some. My fingers will be crossed for you. Make sure you let us know if the fan works!

i will definitely keep you posted and thanks for the crossed fingers... it's funny--i thought I was done with the expensive stuff once I bought the tank, the snake, the light, etc. but I guess not!

Another idea is to put dried rice in a pouch made of panty hose or something similar inside the tank. Cover the tank partially with glass. The rice will absorb the moisture. You can also buy a canister from home depot that will absorb excess moisture. They are made for people who live in humid enviroments. You put them in your closet and it keeps your clothes crispy dry.
Damp Check Non-Electric Dehumidifier

Down here in Georgia, it is about 85% humidity in the mornings and it hasn't rained for weeks.When it does rain the humidity is at 100%!

During high humidity, make sure you remove all feces immediately. It will grow mold very quickly.

Old thread but I have been away for a while lol... what substrate are you using...my area also has high humidity and substrate made a big difference. And I am sure you covered all the usual...more ventelation to sry things up, make sure water bowl is not above or under the heat source etc.
