Re: New Baby Ball

From the looks of your BP on the photos, she doesn't need to be fed immediately. Give her a full week to adjust and quiet down. That means no handling and minimal disturbance: just change the water regularly and make sure the temperature range is correct and that she has enough places to hide.
Pretty snake, good luck with her and keep that cat away!

Re: New Baby Ball

My cats practically live in my room. Right now I have a cat that was born feral living exclusively in my room. After my first escape (well, it wasn't really an escape, more like my cat went through the screen and the lizard ran) I always factor in both the animal in the cage, and the animals outside the cage, (My boa's tank can even be padlocked closed)
I'd keep the cat away for now, but also, make sure the tank is both escape-proof, and cat-proof. I have the metal locks on all my tanks, even if the animals inside could never push a screen lid matter how hard they tried.

Re: New Baby Ball

Sooo Cute! I love little "pocket pythons" lol... He/She looks really good! I get baby ball pythons in from time to time and I absolutely enjoy my time with them before they go to forever homes...

Re: New Baby Ball

I know aren't baby ball pythons so cute. The cage has bungee cords around it so it doesn't slide off. I haven't handled her yet. I'm going to feed her tomorrow.

Re: New Baby Ball

Nice addition. Congrats! I didn't realize having prey/predator was an option. My poor doggie, Halftrack, has beened banned from the bedroom since I got Roxy. As well as the 2 cats. You'll love it. You may have to edit your signature to add the newest addition to the family!
