Dart frog or larger round frog? Either way they aren't poisonous in captivity. We can't give them the variety of food they find in the wild, so they don't get the poisons we often associate with them.
If they are studying pond life, a budgets frog is FUN. colorado river toads get huge and are neat as well. Or you could get a giant Pixie frog, also known as an african bull frog.

You don't want to completely seal the enclosure off. But if its a large open area you can reduce it some. In my big boa enclosure I have a 3" opening in either end. You have to have some air flow.

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
Thanks for the advice about the frogs..will try to get a pic for id. As far as the opening goes it is at least 6 inches by 7 foot...it runs the whole lenght of the enclosure on the top back. Will take a pic of that as well to show yall what I have.

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
I would close the screening off to a single 6 inch square on each end. Plus the opening for your heat lamp.
This will help you control heat and humidity better.

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
Ok here are a few pics of the screening on the back..and thanks for all the help thus far. Yesterday I went to a local feed store and talked to them about our exhibit and they agreed to be a corporate sponsor. They now supply the mulch and mice for our exhibit. Awsome!!! Southern States in Sumter Rocks!!! The class and I put cypress mulch in the enclosure today to help increase the humidity in the tank. Have left the lights on so far...I know I know..havent found a heating pad yet...the snakes usually are at either end of the cage but the last two days have been laying on each other. Once we put the mulch in they both got real active crawling all over the place. We think they like it,lol.

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
P.S. Thinking about drilling some holes in the wood and hot glueing some fake greenery. Any suggestions?

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
For heat. Try looking into a ceramic heat emitter. They produce heat without light.

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
I went in today and checked on the babies. There temp was at 78 and the humidity was at 65. Looks like adding the mulch worked. Will cover the back with cardboard except for a small opening on each side.
Will a ceramic heat source be ok on the screen?

Re: Kingsbury Herpetology Exhibit!!!
Yes if it is a metal screen. If it is nylon it wll melt.
You really need to get the temperature up a bit. 78 is fine for night time but they need a warmer area to warm themselvs up when they need to.

nope, you will have to cut a hole out for it.
Have you considered hardware cloth instead of screen? You can get a roll of it at a hardware store for not too much, and the lights and heat emitters can sit right on top of it.
Look into covering some of that top up too. You will have better luck with temps and humidity. Its going right through the roof!
