Your Welcome, I usualy stick my hand in the water, you should be able to submerge your hand, if it burns its probaly too hot.

Has anyone ever tried the vibrating dish? They sell them for lizards and that for feeding them dead crickets, thought of maybe putting a dead rat in there to make it move around? Never really looked into it, but if Geronimo is scared of the tongs or something, maybe this is the answer? Any input?

Many have had really poor luck with the vibrating dish. It tends to scare the animals!
And it isn't going to move enough to move the rodent. Its designed to shake dry dead crickets.
Though why anyone would actually want to feed their animals dry dead crickets is beyond me!

you maybe warming the rat up but the center could still be frozen and thats going to effect his digestion and can cause problems... you could always try a live mouse or rat just to see if he'll go for it...also if you cut the frozen rat and cause it to bleed a little he may smell/taste the blood and cause him to want to eat...
