I know, And Thank You. You've encoutered enough of this that hearing it from you really does help. The woman with the injured snake works with me at the petstore, and thats why I heard about this in the first place. I dont see her pressing charges either way, she does'nt really like snakes, just couldnt say no when she saw the shape it was in, and the care it was getting. I suppose it would be safer, for me, to just leave it as is, even if doing so is an almost guarentee on death for the snake.

I know how you feel,, I know when I turn some of them away it is basically assigning them a death sentance,, I hate it, it breaks my heart, and sometimes even causes insomnia for me. The only thing I have to keep telling myself is,,,, if I take in too many then I will not be able to provide all the proper care, housing, vet care, and so on,, which would then make me no better than the people I got them from. I absolutely refuse to be like them as I loathe them, so that helps keep me focused. I have so many in now that I pay someone to come in and clean cages and do basic care.
