Re: Bedding question

if he continues to have trouble shedding you can always give him a soak in warmish water for about 10-15 minutes. you can also try the pillowcase trick I mentioned above. thats been known to work very well for trouble shedders and ball pythons like to be trouble like that! what you don't want to do is help him by hand like peeling the skin off for him because that can damage the new scales underneath.

Re: Bedding question

I helped him with the shedding already =) I took a warm damp towel and slow helped remove the old skin, came off smooth and he didn't fidget too much, just when I had to get it off his head. But... he's good now ^^ All shiny and like new again. Spent the whole day yesterday curled up inside my boyfriends shoe... :3 Thanks for the advice, I'll deff give the pillow case a try next time he sheds. And I think I'm going to stick with news paper.... i'm just too nervous to try anything else.

Oh btw, how often do these guys shed?

Re: Bedding question

It just depends on how fast they are growing. Hatchlings can shed every 3-4 weeks! Older snakes who aren't growing as rapidly are not as often.

Re: Bedding question

LOL! It would be hard to comment on it if we don't know what it is!

Re: Bedding question

Is there a strong pine type smell to it?
It should tell you on the package what it contains.
What is the brand name?
