I'm seriously considering getting a 100% het for piebald female, and they would throw in a 100% het for piebald male. i have had 2 ball pythons in the past, but had to sell due to moving issues. so I do know how to take care of them, but I have never bred them before. how hard is it? i'm going to find out absolutely everything I can before I get the snakes. i really want a piebald, but I don't want to pay the $2400. i'm looking for any advice, tips or tricks that you can think of. it would be greatly appreciated. you can also call me dumb for even thinking of it if it is too involved for a breeding rookie like me just please remember that I am going to do my research on it first, i need time to save the money to get the het snakes anyway. on a 100% het, how many can you expect in a clutch? or does the number vary too much to tell? I'm pretty sure that with two 100% het for pieds, you should end up with 25% of the babies as piebald.
I would recommend getting a good book on breeding and save up for a good incubator (or make one of your own). If the BPs are babies, you can get them now: it'll be a few years before they're ready to breed anyway. (Get a guarantee on the sex! -- not that they sell you two males!)
I'd also recommend keeping them housed separately until you want to breed them.

thanks for the help guys, my stupid girlfriend put the kabosh to this idea already. i don't really mind the her not wanting more snakes (i only have 1, for petes sakes), but she didn't even give me a chance, she just got instantly mad, which made me mad, vicious circle. sorry to vent, but I had to.

Just tell her that pied ball pythons are big bucks, lol.
