PLEASE HELP!! Antibiotic confusion
[F][/font]
So, our 1 year old ball python, Ringo, has a respiratory tract infection.
The veterinarian said to refrigerate the probiotic, but not the antibiotic.
Two problems...#1: The vet said to refrigerate the probiotic, but when it is refrigerated it doesn't evacuate the syringe properly making it difficult to administer. #2: The manufacturer's packaging states to store at room temperature.
Now, the vet had stated to refrigerate one, but not the other. Is it possible that she mislabeled the prescriptions? If the Entroflaoxacin (antibiotic) should be refrigerated, but not the probiotic, then that is what I would want to do.
So my question is: Does anyone know about the proper storage of these drugs? If so, please let me know. The veterinarian has given our Ringo a "guarded" prognosis and we want to do everything correctly in order to ensure improvement in his health.
Thank you.
