Re: Help new BP owner
My son baught a ball python, (without permission I might add), they told him to not handle the snake for a week.
I went in his room today to make sure he was still in his cage, he is in his water bowl, all but his head. Is that normal?

Welcome to Herpcenter!
I split this off so you have your own thread.
Soaking is normal.
But check the temps to make sure it isn't too warm in the enclosure.
Also check for mites.

Re: Mommacoop/New Ball python
Hmmm my kids so far have not come home with something without permission...I, on the other hand have come home with reptiles without permission LOL....I agree, check the temps of the cage, for mites (very small and moving dots) and also does the snake have a hide of some sort. If it doesnt, give him a box of some sort to hide in...they stress without one...good luck and let us know if you have other questions and also....Welcome!
