Well, Monty's finally waking up from his winter snooze. He still hasn't eaten (since Xmas!) but he's getting really active in the evenings.

He's a little confused at the moment... he thinks he's a tree python! Of course with a fat belly like his, such attempts to defy gravity usually end up with a loud "thump!"

Thanks everyone. I'm happy to see him too... He's been pretty much in hiding since end of December and I sure missed him!
I'm surprised he's only lost 60 grams. (I sure hope he starts eating soon though!)
Well, he never ceases to surprise me. For the first time in 3 years, he's coiled up on the top of his tree! I got Martin to take some pics this time (better camera; MUCH better photographer!)
I know Monty looks pretty much just like every other BP in the universe, but I think he's special. (I just love his little "E.T." marking --- you can see it on the second and third pics)

Thanks Jay... Yes I hate the winter fasting, and unfortunately, Merlin, I wasn't really expecting it to go on so long, so I've been offering him food at least once a month, so I had to throw out all those refused rats!

Hopefully he'll start eating soon... crazy beastie!
