Not feeding |

Not feeding
I know that ball pythons are know for being picky eaters but Eden ate about two weeks ago and ever since then when ive tryed to get him to eat again he wont... i have his temps at 90 in basking area and about 80 in the cool end I spray alittle water softly every other day and clean his water dish every day and he's on newpaper substrate... i dont know why hes not taking his food.

I have one that will do the same thing, only two weeks I would not worry about it yet

wait til he goes months without eating !!!!!! balls are notorious for not feeding. though it is usually in the fall/winter when they are finicky.

yeah, two weeks isn't anything to be worried about, how big was the prey you feed him?

No worries, lol....they enjoy stressing you out by not eating. Mine went 5 months,,,dont worry, he will eat when hes ready.

I will echo all that has been said; I know the first time going through a snake that will not eat can be stressful. Stop, take a deep breath and he will eat when he chooses to.

Dont fear...one of my ball pythons just started eating again after 3 months of fasting....she does it every winter so I dont get panicked any more and I have a nice bull snake that will eat ANYTHING that the ball wont eat LOL....

lol yeah the wonderful world of ball python alright  . i was just confused that he ate wonderfully for me one week and the next two he doesn’t even seem interested.

Yep sounds about typical. As long as the snake is behaving normally, moving around and drinking I wouldn't get too concerned.
