BP's do not eat fish, they eat mice and rats. Its not a good idea to get into the practice of feeding them feeder fish.

I have never heard or read that BP's will eat fish either.

I highly doubt they ever would. I would bet they'd starve to death before eating fish. Something to look into though, not as a food source but just to see if it's ever been documented.

Yeah, as the others said, fish are not a part of a ball python's natural diet and probably wouldn't be that good for them. Not only that but the python most likely wouldn't even go after them since fish aren't endothermic. In addition, the ideal prey size for the python should be about as wide as the widst part on the snake's body. Your fish are most likely too small. And one more thing, but if your feeder fish are minnows or goldfish, they're junkfood and not much good for anything, pythons or otherwise. Tropical livebearers (such as mollies and danios) are a much better option...but still not for ball pythons.

Ball pythons feed on warmblooded prey. Thats why they have heat sensors around their lips! They would not even recognize a fish as something edible. It sounds like you need to do a bit of research before aquiring the snake. Please check out our caresheet for starters.
