I have a going bet with someone that I work with and she swears that only one BP can be in an enclosure. Any thoughts??????

Everyone has different thoughts and opinion, but I currently keep two together. I am sure you will may more thoughts shortly.

:D I'm smiling because I have no idea whats going on!

My new bp was actually housed for the last 8 months or so with another bp... both are female. When I've told bp owners this, they've been surprised... apparently they often either start acting strangely or just don't get along.

But my friend never had a problem when the two snakes were together. However, they were together from a fairly young age, I think. So that might make a difference as well...

I'm eager to see other responses, as I've gotten such a wide range of answers to the same question...

At the zoo where I had resident camp they kept 2 Ball Pythons to an encloser

Some snakes can be kept together, while others do best kept singly.

A point for housing snakes singly is that it is easier to monitor them, i.e.feeding, pooping, any changes in activity etc.

We keep our female corns together, with no problem, and at the moment our BRBs are housed together.

It depends on the individual snakes IMO,. we had our BPs together, but they showed signs of stress and incompatibility,. they are both adult males, and are now separate.

I keep young ones together, but when they reach about a year I seperate them. Mostly just to monitor the health of the animal.

I have 2 together and one single.....
I don't think there is a way to actually 'win' this bet! LOL

I keep a male and a female together in a 40 breeder without incident. I have heard that males don't cohabitate well but then again I've heard that some do, who knows? It's probably an individual snake thing and a matter of personal preference by the keeper.

My pair have been housed together since they were hatchlings. That was 4 years ago. They are in a 55 gal tank and usually are curled up right together. I have heard that 2 males may not necessarily get along but have no direct experience.
