Re: buying a motorcycle--maybe

Yeah he's a real winner. Don't worry there's more in the family. But I have lots of relatives I've never even met. Being Dutch ancestry. My mom has 10 brothers and sisters. My dad has 11. Pretty much all of my dad's cousins had huge families as well.
Anyway. I found another bike to buy. I'll have to drive a few hours on Sat to get it. AS long as my insurance company gets off their butts and provides me with proof of insurance before then. Cross your fingers nothing goes bad with this deal. I put $500 deposit down to hold it and they assured me they would so we'll see.
Here it is. Man I can't wait.

Re: buying a motorcycle--maybe

All went according to plan. MY bike is in the garage. Come on springtime!
This bike will help me to be able to go out herping as well. It's a few hours to the nearest lakeshore where there is a good population of foxsnakes, gartersnakes, milksnakes and Canada's only venomous snake the Massasagua Rattler. Bike trip and herp trip all in one.

Come on up. In a little over a month's time the maple syrup festival will be on as well. Yum yum.

Congratulations! That's a very nice looking bike, and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. Be wary of car drivers who don't see motorcycles though...there are a number of them out there.

Re: buying a motorcycle--maybe

Thanks. Yes I'll have to get used to that again. I had a lot of close calls when I had my last bike. Basically have to drive like every vehicle doesn't see you.

That was the advice my riding teacher gave me many years ago.
"Ride like you are invisable,...
and the few that actually can see you want to run over you!"
