What are you reading?
For the last couple of months I've been reading at least a book a week and I've become enthralled with a fantasy series called "Xanth" by Piers Anthony. I don't usually read fantasy, but these are addicting. The good news is she started writing the books in the 70's and has been going strong with about a book a year since so i'll be set for a little while.
What are you guys reading?

Re: What are you reading?
Reading is a lot of work. I used to read a lot when I was younger. Now TV fills the void. The latest reptile mag would be the extent of my recent reading.
I know my brain is going to mush.

Re: What are you reading?
I have been catching up on my National Geographics. i'm about 6 months behind.
I was reading Janet Evanovich for a while but for some reason they lost my interest. I need to get back to reading again. In fact, I may go up to the branch pick something up. *edit* I went upstairs and got "Nature Girl" by Carl Hiaasan. I read another book of his, "skinny dip" and it was fun. I also picked up a smattering of music. Chemical Brothers, Maroon 5, Vanessa Carlton and Bjork.

Re: What are you reading?
I enjoy a mixture of reading material. Right now I am on The Serpents Shadow by Mercedes Lackey. This is the second book in her Elemental Masters Series. She has about 5 different series one of which has about 30 books comprised of a bunch of trilogys... She is by far my favorite author and I still go back and read her books over and over again.

If you like that series, you should also read some of his other books. Letters to Jenny was really sweet. A little girl was hit by a drunk driver and went comatose. Her mother started writing to Piers Anthony because he was Jenny's favorite author. The whole book is just their actual letters back and forth as Jenny started to recover. It's really interesting. Another great series I highly recommend is Jane Lindskold's Through Wolf's Eyes series. There's several books now, and she's still writing. They're great. I couldn't exactly tell you what I'm actually reading right now, because I'm always in the middle of something different, but I do have a few history books I'm making my way through. I'm fascinated by history and how seemingly little things have changed the world. It's really amazing.

Re: What are you reading?
Besides reptile books ?? I've been reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series for about 10 years now. Plus whatever I find at yardsales that looks interesting.

Re: What are you reading?
I do not read books that I don't need to. lol I use to read, and loved anything by John Grisham. Most of my current reading pertains to news and my reptile literature or geeky PC related things that I need to learn. lol

Re: What are you reading?
Yeah. After awhile I gave up and said I'd read the whole series again when he finally finished it. I think the last book is going to be ghostwritten now that he's died. I hope we do get to see it released. It would be such a shame for that series never to have ended.

Re: What are you reading?
Oh crud. I'm so sorry.
He died in September of cancer. Here's a link to his blog: `Dragonmount` | Robert Jordan's Blog He was a really interesting guy. It was funny, he accidentally wrote an email to my brother about a year ago, having misspelled his friend's email address. He was really amused when my brother had no idea who he was. (So was I when I went to my bookshelf and pulled about four of his books off and handed them to my brother.) He was super nice about it, though. It was right after that I learned he had cancer. I guess I've just been following that since then.
