Curly Hair Molting

Hey, I just got this little curly hair and he built a burrow and pushed all this dirt to the entrance and made a wall sealing himself inside of it. I was just wondering if he did that cause he's going to molt or he just doesn't like me.

Re: Curly Hair Molting

It may be because he is in a new place and he is still trying to adjust. Give him some time with minimal interaction. Try to stay out of his tank for a few days as much as possible.

Re: Curly Hair Molting

Curly Haired tarantula's are Burrowers. My Tarantulas burrow constantly wheter they are going to molt or not. nothing to worry about. It's perfectly normal for him to burrow.
