Need Scorp Molting Advice!

My friend has an emperor that he thinks is ready to molt. He has 3 emperors housed together in a 55 gal. tank. The youngest is looking very pale, like a snake skin looks before it molts. Most of my experience is with snakes, but I tried to help him as much as I could. The last time one of his scorpions molted it didnt survive, so he want to be a lot more careful this time. Any advice would be appreciated.

We set up a 10gal. tank for the scorp in question. We put 3-4inches of organic potting soil in it, and a plastic cave with some very moist moss inside. Hes keeping the temp in the low 80's, and the humidity between 75-80.

So Id like to ask, what are some definate signs of molting?
Are the temp & humidity good? is their anything else we should do? Should it be given a bath?

Thanks

Re: Need Scorp Molting Advice!

I keep 2 emperors and the 10 gal with the temps and humidity sound good. Also heat bulbs, ceramic heat bulbs and such will dry the air, I recommend using under take heater for when they molt... Make sure there is a shallow dish the scorp can crawl in if it wants too, other than that sounds good, and I wouldn't give it a bath.... And a moist hide is always good!
