Usually the abdomen will get dark right before a molt. It looks real plump and I have seen Rosies fast for long periods of time when they get full. If you see the exoskeleton getting dark on the abdomen you can be certain of a molt on the way.

Yeah, could be going into molt - they often develop a bald patch on their abdomens pre-molt. Ours has one right now. I think ours is getting ready to molt also,. she refused her last two meals. Ts can stop eating upto 4 weeks before they molt, and shouldn't be fed until a week after.

Yours is about due a molt!! Since she is bigger she is growing more slowly and will molt much less than the spiderlings, but she still has a way to go yet! Try and get pics of her molting this time, since I made you miss the curly hair!

I know, I think I got a bit to close with the camera will try to get some better ones.

I think my curly hair is going to molt again too, she has a bald patch that has gone black, but its on the side of her abdomen not the middle, and she refused her cricket yesterday, I think she killed it tho, but just didnt eat it, I only noticed the bald patch when checking on her to see if she had eaten, and the cricket was dead, its amazing what she has done in her tank, she has made a little burrow out of her log and soil, she has all the soil wrapped round the log with her web and she has dug underneath right down to the glass, but she did that after her last molt, I will try to get some pics of her, but she is always hiding
