Here is another B jacksoni pic

Here is the first foto session with P rufilata (Redslate Ornamental). I was surprised at how docile and calm it was. It never gave me any probems...

i know i've said it before that i'm not a tarantula or scorpion person but some of them are pretty. doubt i'd ever own any though cuz thats just not my thing. but that first one is a pretty scorpion. never saw one with that coloring before. the only scorpions i've ever seen like up close were the black emperors cuz we sell them at work sometimes when we get them in. its cool to watch them eat though. lol

Do the scorps eat their prey like mantids? I noticed the one eating the crix from the abdomen end first, is this always the case?

I really hope they have some little scorps at the reptile expo next weekend, I really want one

Thanks Brian S:
Cool pics, but you'll have to keep trying before I'll ever become converted to a scorpion or spider fan... I'm a total bug phobic!!
No judgements intended, though. I think it's cool that somebody loves them (obviously a lot of people do)!! I'd really like to get over my distaste. I am willing to change and try to keep an open mind.. Anyway keep posting and I'll force myself to look at the posts -- with time and exposure ... maybe... someday.
