My friend is wanting to raise and breed curly haired tarantulas. He has never had a tarantula before but has had scorpions. Is this easy in anyway possible. if This is a bad idea, anyone got any easier tarantulas to raise and breed?

Re: Curly Hair Tarantula.

Well, It's not a "Bad" Idea. Your "Friend" Just needs to go through the process of learning about Tarantulas in general and then move on to that peticular species specifically.
The first step would be to Either read a book by a reputable author about Tarantulas or spend a good deal of time reading "DIFFERENT" articles on the net. A good book is best. You can always use it as a reference.

The most Important thing is to be able to care for one animal successfully!
And You have to know when to introduce T's. If one doesn't feel like mating it will just kill the other or maybe they will just kill each other.
I guess this is just my long winded way of saying, Just start with one and go one step at a time!

Yes, Both Spiders of all kinds and scorpions are both Arachnids, But Humans and Orangutans are both primates and are very far from each other on "The Tree".
