She's here. now i need advice
i just pulled 9-10 dozen crickets out of her ten gallon tank and she has like barkchip bedding that I want to get rid of, but will removing her old substrate and replaceing it with papertowels stress her out to much.
i already knew that she was missing her front feet due to a fungal infection but she's also ribby. my freind sayed he doesnt know whats wrong with her so I guess its up to me to figure that out. my first three choices are stress from having so many crickets in her tank dehydration, they had a water dish but I dont think he misted her parasites i'll have to watch her poop and see how that looks Edit: The bak chips are repti-bark, theirs also a bag of jungle mix with her supplies |

Reptibark is ok for anoles since it's too big for them to swallow. Way too many crix! Make sure there is a fake plant you can mist, they don't drink but will lap up moisture from leaves. You can try a couple of small mealies to fatten her up. And make sure to get small crix.
I love anoles. |

i have all the crickets out and in a seperate container. her tank is a ten gallon se has a hammock some sticks a water bowl a fake plam like plant that take up half the tank. oh and her takn has a nifty snap on top with a little door, nice an secure. |

If you only put 2-3 crix at a time in she'll catch them. Anoles are spectacular hunters. Watch how far she can jump to grab a cricket, it's amazing.

heres pictures of her, srry the tank is a small picture the attachment option said it had to be smaller, but thats after I fished all the crickets out and cleaned the tank, changed her to fresh bedding and such.
and theirs a picture of her you can see her sunken belly and hip points, i think im going to have a talk with him about reptile care, you know he lied to me about having a uvb tube for her!? he knows what they are he see's my tanks. but when all the supplies came over their wasnt even a flouresent fixture |

Awww, little cutie,
im sure you will soon have her sorted and settled in, I had to get rid of all the bark in my chams cage and Bearded Dragons cage, as the crix where always hiding in there, it was a pain, now they dont have nowhere to hide and I chill them before I put them in and my Bearded Dragon eats them no proplems now. |

Ya know what makes an excellent substrate? Dirt. Its as natural as you can get, and its inexpensive. All you have to do is dig some up and bake it in the oven at high heat to kill off any unwanted critters. I'd put more plants in there too, they really love their plant cover.

lol I live in the mountains its not so easy to dig up the yard is more, dirty rocks, than rocky dirt.
Im trying to make a pond in the front yard so I guess there might be enough dirt left from that |
