rescue mission

okay, i was lookin for my new anole, and this one store had anoles in bad shape.
they had nothing to climb, there were dead crix AND lizards that were so long dead all that was left are grey chunks of skin on a skeleton.
they were housing green anoles, AND brown anoles, AND house geckos together, and it was bone dry
so should I go and rescue one, and/or report them

I was told not to "rescue" animals from pet stores since it provides incentive for them to get more and keep doing what they are doing wrong. If it were me I would tell them what they are doing wrong and try to bring along some proof of what I was telling them. If that didn't help then I would report them.

Don't buy a sick animal. I would report this shop on the crappy care of their animals and then go buy my new anole at another shop!

It is truely sad to see animal abuse. But lets be realistic, what would anyone do about it? I hate to inform you all but these stores (most at least) are frequently inspected. And are fully permitted to do what they do. Many of the "large scale" breeders and pet shops keep creatures in care that just barely meets their needs. You really only notice it in a pet shop. While it is sad, your best off exepting the fact that millions and millions of reptiles are kept in care like this..........
