Tell us more. Diet, substrate, cage furniture, type of light (have you been giving it UVB light), supplements?
5 gallons is much too small. Minimum of 20 should be used.

What about the lighting? UVB is an essential part of any lizards enviroment. Without it they cannot make vitamin d3 in their bodies which is vital in the uptake of calcium and it's utilization in the body. Without it, the bones become weak and rubbery and the muscles cannot perform adequately. It is a condition known as MBD.

Thats fine, they arent rainforesty....they are tropical, I've cut back on mine after reading something in a book, I dont know what book it was. It was on the coffee table at the waiting room at the vet....our kitty needed him's shots. I've since lowered mine to 65~70. And they are not only green, but bright green....like the highlighter color.

If you haven't been giving UVB light, you MUST get a bulb NOW. Its going to cost you a pretty penny, but without it, you have sentenced your anole to death. They also need calcium supplements. Your anole is probably heading into Metabolic Bone Disease without these two things.

What type of thermometer are you using?
Bring your temperature up. You need an ambient temp of 75-80, in this case bring it up to 80, with a basking spot of 85-90 degrees. However this is going to be impossible to achieve in a 5 gallon tank.
That starter kit is a joke, designed to sucker people into a purchase! You will need at least a 10 gallon and preferably a 20.
