Re: Help with Anoles!!!!

The only other suggestion I would have, is to get a digital thermometer from a garden store. You can get them for about $12 that have humidity and temp. Those dial gauges are horribly inaccurate. Maybe another tall cross branch in there too.

Hang on, do Anoles need UVB? If so most is probably getting blocked out by the plastic. Be sure to not have plastic where the UVB bulb is.

Re: Help with Anoles!!!!

My little anoles were brown all day forever until I bought a big old potted pothos and filled up a third of their tank with it. I thought they were going to explode they got so happy and green. Little lady hid in there for days until she decided to start getting reacquainted with the rest of the cage. My male lizard split his time between the plant and the light. Now they both split their time between the two halves of the cage.

Anyhow, all the extra plant action worked like a charm for them.... maybe you just need more green.

Re: Help with Anoles!!!!

I agree. They could use some more green hiding places. They like heavily covered tanks. Even just a potted pothos in the corner can do wonders.

Re: Help with Anoles!!!!

When you get the plant, be sure to wash it very very well, to get any possible chemicals off it.

Be 100% sure your UVB is not covered up by the plastic, if it is, you might as well not have a UVB bulb at all.
