Hello, I am new to anoles but did quite a bit of research before I received mine. But I still have questions and am sure much more to learn.
Right now, my main question is if I purchase this enclosure how would you maintain the proper humidity with that much ventilation?: 65 gallon basic Reptarium

Also, I was hoping the more experienced ppl could give me a few tips/hints to keep them happy. Right now they have a 5.0 uvb light for day, and an infared bulb for day/night heat (on one side of the cage). They're currently in a 10gal tank but, as you can see from the above question, I'm working on getting them a much larger home. I feed them gut-loaded crickets. 2-3 per anole every other day. I mist 2-3 times/day.

Re: New

Reptariums are a nightmare when it comes to holding heat and humidity.
That mesh makes it very difficult.

Re: New

your best bet will be to get another Aquarium, or build your own tank with wood....

Re: New

thanks. we're debating on getting a 55 gal that we've found or letting my husband build one. He has been saying he wants to, but I don't know how long it will take him or how much it will cost him.

Re: New

Go with an aquarium with a screen lid. Live plants will help with humidity as well.

Welcome to the board!

Re: New

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm pretty sure we're going to get the 55 gal that's being sold close to our house. I need to get some fake plants for it and some soil.
I've heard of people having the crickets live in the cage with the anoles. I was wondering how you can do that and how do you keep them alive in their own cage enough so they breed and you no longer have to buy more? I go through mine so fast.

Re: New

in our care sheets section, there is a description on how to breed crickets.

Go for live plants. They help with humidity. You can plant them directly into a mix of organic soil and eco-earth.

Re: New

Having crickets constantly running around the anole tank is not a good idea. The crickets will bite the anole, possible causing infection as well as just stressing it out by pestering it. People don't think about the prey becoming the predator but I have personally seen a bunch of crickets strip an anole down to the bone!

Re: New

oh wow. thanks for the reply merlin. I had a feeling they wouldn't get along well.
I'm still looking around for the care sheet..
I currently have probably about 30 crickets in one of those little critter cages with cardboard, flukers cricket food and the jelly stuff. But my anoles just seem to be consuming them much faster than they can produce... i actually havent seen them produce any eggs at all.
Hopefully I can find that sheet that was mentioned on keeping crickets.
what species of live plants would y'all recommend?
Thanks again everyone for the help and warm welcome.
