Hi im interested in finding one of these kinds of anoles to keep:

Blue Anole (anolis gorganae)
Blue Throated Anole (anolis conspersus)
Hispaniolan Anole (anolis chlorocyanus)
Big Headed Anole (anolis capito)

the blue throated one might be the same as a blue spotted anole but im not sure

I don't know much about anoles but I would suggest maybe going to an expo in your area. And welcome to HC.

Blue Anole (anolis gorganae) protected species, not available
Blue Throated Anole (anolis conspersus)Endemic to Grand Cayman so probably also protected.
Hispaniolan Anole (anolis chlorocyanus), Big Headed Anole (anolis capito)both have breeding populations in florida so are probably available.

Thanks merlin. Its just that Diamond Reptile Breeders has listed on there site "Blue Anole" and I always wonder if that is actually is the anolis gorganae or the Blue throated anole. Ive asked them before and they said that they dont have any in stock so I dont really know if they truly have "Blue Anole" or if that is just what they call it. But thanks again

There is another species that is more blue tinged than the green anole. The true anolis gorganae is very rare and protected so I doubrt seriously if that is what they have.
At least legally!
