Did you mist the egg or just around the egg? Best thing to do is put a damp paper towel over it, then every couple days remositen the papertowel and the container its in, but never directly on the egg.

Have you thought about creating a small incubator out of a margarin cup with some vermiculite and moss? That would keep the egg safe from crickets and the parents even (I've seen anoles eat their own eggs) ...Just a thought

Are you certain the two are a male/female pair? Females will lay infertile eggs at times.

    thanks for the advice...

thanks for the advice but i've done all of those things and am absolutely certain that they are male and female.Kermit is almost twice the size of Skwirl-Skwirl has a white stripe down her back and a smaller head-Kermit has hemipenal buldges. i've also seen him diplaying his dewlap and her bobbig back-her dewlap is much smaller and creamish- and..well... i kinda saw them... well..u now!

So how's the egg doing? Any updates?

I use to keep green anoles, had one for a good long while and they were all living with Bud in his old terrarium before he went on total free-roam. Like a big happy family, sometimes I'd get home from work and he'd be laying across the heated-carpeted PVC pipe and the five Anoles would be laying on and around him. One of the cutest sites I ever saw. =)

I just wish Anoles lived as long as iguanas and got to be the same size. Now that'd be a fun pet. =)
