Well they can be kept as pets, but they're hard to find. I did find one place thus far that seems to sell them:

http://www.veiledchameleon.com/htmls...s/lizards1.htm

They're $64, but they're much more of a collector's herp than greens and browns. Personally, I think they're cool and all, but not worth it unless you collect anole species. I'm more a fan of Anolis allisoni, Anolis grahami, and the like, but maybe I just have a thing for blue

Like all anoles, insects make up the staple of their diet. They *may* possibly be enticed by fruit baby foods, or bits of pear, etc. Some anoles will eat a little of these in small amounts, but most won't bother and will eat nothing but insects. Ultimately their care isn't really much different from that of green or brown anoles.

They were formerly known as Anolis roquet extremus, but now go by Anolis extremus. They're alternate common name is "extreme anole", but if you ask me, Barbados anole sounds much better They're native to the Lesser Antilles, to include Barbados, Bermuda, St. Lucia, Trinidad, and parts of mainland Venezuela.

This site has a few pics:

Whereas this one has a little info on them, but not much that I haven't already said. It does have some links that will yield more pics though:

Oh, but no, I don't have any myself. I don't personally know of anyone that does, though I know it is supposedly possible to obtain them, judging by the first link I supplied.

Haha, yeah, they're not exactly common. About the only species that are readily available in captivity are...

Green anoles (Anolis carolinensis)

Brown anoles (Anolis sagrei)
- The brown anole species actually encompasses two subspecies, the Cuban brown (A. s. sagrei) and the Bahaman brown (A. s. ordinatus). However, the ones found in the pet trade are captive bred and WC from introduced populations in Florida. The anoles seen in captivity are such a genetic jumble between the two subspecies, that they're technically not either, and currently are more of a "hybrid" between the two official subspecies. Therefore, the correct name for captive brown anoles is just that, brown anole (A. sagrei), and you can't get any more specific than that. Anyway, I just thought this was as good an opportunity as any to throw in that littlle factoid

Knight anoles (Anolis equestris)
- Knight anoles aren't as common as their brown and green cousins, but they're probably the third most often seen anole in the pet trade. However, their care differs vastly compared to the other anoles. This species gets large and aggressive, up to around 20 inches (50 cm) long. They're also more expensive compared to the aforementioned species.
